ANTIREALITY’s white Cabin is a concept design for a holiday home located on the rocky Greek coast. The concept of the project is to create a minimalist summer house integrated into the natural environment. The building is accessed via a winding path/bridge connecting the house and the rocky coastline. This proposal is designed for a weekend resort for couples or small families, a place to rest and escape from the city. The layout of the house allows close interaction with the surrounding nature and provides stunning coastal views.
One of the key assumptions of the project is to challenge the concept of the observation deck by combining the balcony and the swimming pool. The water terrace is not only an extension of the interior, but also an integral part of the living space. The main balcony is designed as an infinity pool, forming a water pavilion for observing the surrounding wildlife. The simple white volume contains a two-story house with a total area of approximately 205 square meters (building size: 8.5 meters x 17 meters). The plan of the cabin is divided into four basic functional areas: Living room: the central part of the house, containing the living room, dining room and kitchen, the open bedroom on the second floor, the bathroom, storage room and the vertical circulation wood and infinity hidden in the core. The swimming pool serves as a water observation platform.
The main structure of the building is composed of metal pillars and pillars. This steel frame provides support for the entire building. The inner core is made of glass-wrapped wood and perforated metal plates. The dual-facade system provides natural light to the interior and helps prevent overheating inside the building.
